BLURB:
Just when her new life as a TouchStone — a mortal bound to help OtherFolk cross between Faery and human worlds — seems to be settling down, Abby Sinclair is left in charge when the Protectorate, Moira, leaves for the Faery Court. And when the Protectorate’s away…let’s just say things spiral out of control when a spell on Abby backfires and the Faery Queen declares the Doors between their worlds officially closed.
The results are disastrous for both sides: OtherFolk trapped in the mortal world are beginning to fade, while Faerie is on the brink of war with the daemons of Hell. Along with her brooding elven prince Talivar and sexy incubus Brystion, Abby ventures to the CrossRoads in an attempt to override the Queen’s magic. But nothing in this beautiful, dangerous realm will compare to the discoveries she’s making about her past, her destiny, and what she will sacrifice for those she loves.

IN SHORT: A story full of action but could be confusing at time due to the amount of things happening.
Abigail's (Ginny's owners) Review:
A silver of shadow by Alisson pang is the second book in her new series Abby Sinclair, although I loved her first book: A brush of darkness. I unfortunately found her second installment lacking in both the humor and charater depth I saw in the first book.
In this installment we are taken on a journey with our feisty heroine and her perverted unicorn to the crossroads where she tries to persuade the half mad queen to reopen the gates between fairy and earth.
Although this storyline seems simple the deliver is not and at times this plotline is so over filled with action and different situations that me and my owner sometime became confused and had to re read sections to separate what was actual happening in that particular chapter.
This plotline was a good idea but it would have been better if Alisson Pang had made some of the story less action filled and more character/ world building based.
I also felt that for some reason although humor was attempted it just wasn't as funny as her first book, which is a huge shame as this is what drew me to this series in the first place.
Although I truly wanted to love this book, it just didn't speak to me on the same level as A brush with darkness, it was just too confusing and this made the great idea for the plot fall short, although the ending to this book did bring the story back up in my opinion.
OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES:
I hope you have enjoy my review, please come back soon.
