IN- SHORT: A good concept and story plot but although its full of action it seemed to lack a pulse.

Abigail's (Ginny's owner) Review:

I'm a big fan of Rachel Vincent and was very excited when I finial manged to get my hands on a copy of blood bound but unfortunately for me it did not live up to the excitement.

Blood bound is about a character named Liv Warren who is trying to make a living in a dangerous gang ridden world, unfortunately things in Liv's life turn from bad to worse when she is forced to find the murderer of an old friends husband while working with an old flame.

Although this book is full of action and deep running secrets I found that no matter how I tried the action came off a little bland as if the spark was missing. The deep running secrets were great and caused many twist and turns in the plot line, the only issue I had with these are the fact that I was able to figure out one of the main secrets critical to the plot causing the last chapter or two to be an anti climax, hence the two paw rating.

The charters Rachel Vincent chose to write about were interesting but once again seemed to lack that fire I am used to seeing with her charters, although these characters came off a little 2D I do see plenty of potential for development despite the lack of spark I still am looking forward to seeing where the author chooses to take these charters next.

Although this book is full of action and very rarely has a moments rest, it failed to successfully take me on its journey completely. But because of it's very interesting world and plot-line i will be giving book two: Shadow Bound, a go.

This book is designed for lovers of gritty action and complex plot-lines.
OTHER BOOKS IN THIS SERIES:
Shadow Bound (Unbound, #2)

Oath Bound (Unbound, #3)
