BLURB:
One hour to rewrite the past . . .
For seventeen-year-old Emerson Cole, life is about seeing what isn't there: swooning Southern Belles; soldiers long forgotten; a haunting jazz trio that vanishes in an instant. Plagued by phantoms since her parents' death, she just wants the apparitions to stop so she can be normal. She's tried everything, but the visions keep coming back.
So when her well-meaning brother brings in a consultant from a secretive organization called the Hourglass, Emerson's willing to try one last cure. But meeting Michael Weaver may not only change her future, it may also change her past.
Who is this dark, mysterious, sympathetic guy, barely older than Emerson herself, who seems to believe every crazy word she says? Why does an electric charge seem to run through the room whenever he's around? And why is he so insistent that he needs her help to prevent a death that never should have happened?

Ginny The Book Reading Pug's Review:
Myra McEntire is a new author for me and my owner but after finishing this book in only one sitting we will be buying more of her books.
This book was not what i expected but in a good way, the story was full of action and kept you guessing all the way up to the last page.
In this installment we are introduced to Emerson who lives with her brother and sister in law after her scholarship in a private school is pulled due to lack of funding, but not everything is as normal as it seems.
Emerson is suffering from seeing people who are not really there due to the tragic death of her parents a few years before, as her breakdown seems to get worse her brother hires Michael Weaver but has he come just to help Emerson?
This book was full of action but it didn't over look the heavy issues that were present in the book, which were dealt in a very understanding way. I loved all the twists and turns and would never have guessed who the villains were until it was presented to me. There was also some surprising things about certain characters that i look forward to reading about in the next two books.
The characters in this book were very interesting and I enjoyed the differences in personality although i didn't find them fully 3D there weren't far from being completely lifelike. There is plenty of potential for development and I cant wait to find out in what direction the author takes them.
This book is a great read and will be enjoyed by anyone who likes a strong female lead with paranormal elements and life threatening action.
