BLURB:
Hunted, Killed—Survived?
As the last Healer in the Fifteen Realms, Avery of Kazan is in a unique position: in the minds of her friends and foes alike, she no longer exists. Despite her need to prevent the megalomanical King Tohon from winning control of the Realms, Avery is also determined to find her sister and repair their estrangement. And she must do it alone, as Kerrick, her partner and sole confident, returns to Alga to summon his country into battle.
Though she should be in hiding, Avery will do whatever she can to support Tohon’s opponents. Including infiltrating a holy army, evading magic sniffers, teaching forest skills to soldiers and figuring out how to stop Tohon’s most horrible creations yet; an army of the walking dead—human and animal alike and nearly impossible to defeat.
War is coming and Avery is alone. Unless she figures out how to do the impossible ... again.

GINNY (The Pug's) REVIEW:
This is an ARC review thanks to NETGALLY
I was so happy when I got the ARC copy of Scent of Magic that I literally couldn’t stop running around the room barking, although this is a second book in a set of three this is not just your average filler book although at some times due to the nature of the storyline things did processed at a very slow pace but once you get the middle of the book you find out this was all just a ploy to make you as relaxed as possible so Maria V. Snyder can shock the life out of you!
Maria V. Snyder takes us back on the epic journey of Avry and Kerrick, who are surrounded by potential allies and enemies, danger and betrayal and extreme loss. I loved the story Maria told us even though the first half of the book is slow as characters are presented to us and are allowed to grow this is for a very good reason for once the action is started things start to appear that you might have missed in the beginning leaving the audience in complete shock, I was particularly saddened and shocked by the actions of one particular character that I thought I knew from the beginning as I had grown fond of them.
This book is action packed, full of twists and turns and characters that make you laugh and cry as you follow them to the end of the book, I have to say I can’t believe the ending of scent of magic and I can’t wait to read Taste of Death.
This book is a great epic fantasy with characters that make you root for them and a beautiful world you want to save with them. This is a Pug Must Read Book.
I hope you have enjoyed this ARC review, come back soon.
