BLURB:
A year ago Jane nearly lost her life taking down an entire blood family of deadly rogue vampires that preyed on the helpless local populace of an Appalachian town. Now, after months of recuperation, she’s back and ready to fight again. Except this time, she’s hired by those she’s trained to kill—vampires…
Jane Yellowrock is the last of her kind—a skinwalker of Cherokee descent who can turn into any creature she desires and hunts vampires for a living. Back from hiatus, she’s hired by Katherine Fontaneau, one of the oldest vampires in New Orleans and the madam of Katies’s Ladies, to hunt a powerful rogue vampire who’s killing other vamps.
Amidst a bordello full of real “ladies of the night,” and a hot Cajun biker with a panther tattoo who stirs her carnal desire, Jane must stay focused and complete her mission—or else the next skin she’ll need to save just may be her own.

Ginny's Review:
This is the first time reading a Faith Hunter book but after this read I will defiantly be continuing with this author.
Skin-walker follows a character named Jane Yellowrock, a
vampire hunter with an unusually ability; one she doesn’t truly understand herself.
In this first instalment Jane is hired by a group of vampires who claim to be
sane civilized people who need her abilities as a huntress to track down and
kill a rogue within their group that is killing their own, but is everything as
is seems?
We are taken on a long journey one that really doesn’t end
till the last page; this journey takes us deep into the vampire lair and into
vampire politics as Faith Hunter see them. This story is full of mystery and
clue finding, something I particular enjoy in a story, Faith Hunter has a great
way of showing only just one side of the character until she is ready to shock the audience by showing
us something unexpected about that character and making us re think how the character
truly fits into the story.
The characters she has
created are well rounded and have the ability to shock, keep us on the edge of
our seats and make us worry about their safety in a world full of sharp teeth,
I look forward to seeing the development of Jane Yellowrock and her crew.
The element I liked best about this book was Faith Hunters ability
to write in two separate points of view yet keeping them linked without any disjointed
feelings, the voices flowed easily between the two and added excitement to the
story from the fiery, uneasy relationship the two shared.
This book is full of mystery, ass kicking and a hunt that you just
won’t want to give up on, I recommend this book to anyone. This is defiantly a pug
love book.

So glad you enjoyed it! I have this one on my shelf to get to. I read an anthology with her short story in it and loved it, so ran out to buy this one but haven't been able to get to it. Thanks!
