PUG REVIEW: ALTERNITY BY MARI MANCUSI

ALTERNITY BY MARI MANCUSI
Alternity BLURB:
Imagine waking up in a post-apocalyptic, nightmare world--and being told your whole life is but a dream. Skye Brown thought she was your typical teen--good grades, hot boyfriend, and an after school job that pays her to play video games. But then she started having the dreams.

In her dreams, there is no Earth. Only Terra, a bleak, underground wasteland where people live in squalor and oppression. In her dreams, there is no Skye--only Mariah, a rebel leader fighting against a vile, dystopian regime. And then there's Dawn, a handsome, but haunted solider who sees her as but an empty shell of the girl he once love--a betrayer he vows to hate forever, despite what she sees deep in his eyes.

Now, ripped between Dark Siders and club kids, the mundane and the mystic, Skye finds herself in a fight against time--to learn who she really is, where she belongs..and why. The shocking truth will have her questioning her own reality...and her heart

Ginny's Review:
This is a ARC review thanks to NETGALLERY
This is my first time reading Mari Mancusi work and I will defiantly be begging for more books from her, Alternity is a rollercoster of a read that takes us on a fast paced journey of identity, rebellion and corrupt governments that will keep you up late into the night reading.

In this installment Mari Mancusi introduces us to a young girl called Skye who leads a typical college life until night terrors take a hold of Skye and cause her to question her own sanity and her identity.

This story is full of mystery and misdirection, one of my favorite elements of this book was how Mari's clues and the main two male leads all had the same solid visual theme, I  though this was very clever and got the audience thinking each time they encounter the symbols.

This book defiantly got my pug brain working and just when I thought I had it all worked out, I would  become shocked as Mari would thrown in another twist and I would have to re think my ideas, I  loved the fact that I never truly knew what was happening until the last pages of the book.

This book is fast paced, with great world building and great twists and turn that will cause you to gasp in surprise. The characters are well rounded with plenty of potential for development if Mari choose to continue with these players. My only issue was with Skye, while she is experiencing a new life her response to situations sometimes came across a little flat and unrealistic but this was few and far between and I otherwise enjoyed her personality.

I recommend this book to any who loves adventure, mysteries, romance and new worlds, this is a great read, one that shouldn't be missed.

I hope you have enjoyed my latest review, please come and visit me again soon!
