Ginny The Book Reading Pug's Review:

Gabriella Pierce is a new author for me and my owner and this read even though it wasn't loved more like, liked enough to finish the story i will be continuing with this author.
This book follows the journey of Jane who meets the man of her dreams while living in Paris and very quickly in the dating process agrees to marriage him and moved to New york where he and his rather extended family live.

Although this concept is a great idea i found the story sometime struggled to flow smoothly causing either me having to go back to re read sections or for the story to feels as though it dragged in places.
I also was left feeling that the characters sometime were un-life like and the response to situation sometime forced  so the story could move on, such as Jane response to her magic or the way things happened in such a speed but characters just accepted rather than taking time to adjust.
Despite these issues i did enjoy the story and am looking forward to how the characters deal with the situations left by the ending and to seeing the characters grow.

This book was a slow burner and took a while to read but this story will suit anyone who likes a leisurely read and high society with the twist of magic.

OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES:
The Dark Glamour (666 Park Avenue, #2)

I hope you enjoyed the review and please come back soon.

  1. Maybe the next one will pick up the pace some? Sounds like this is one written to be a simmer through the end. Thanks for the thoughts.

Oh, I wanted to ask you there is a new tv series coming out you told me about. Do you remember the name of it?
