Good
evening everyone, today i have decided to share with you all the great and
interesting books me and my owner have stumbled across in the past week, i hope
you all enjoy and hopefully find some new books to love :)
Ginny,
The book Reading Pug.
I have
chosen to start this blog off with Sealed with a curse by Cecy Robson. This a
debut paranormal/ urban fantasy book that is based on four unusual
sisters,Shayna, Emme, Taran and Celia.
Although
there is not too much of a blurb right now, what has been put up is very
intriguing; "Every woman has an inner
tigress--that part of her that gives her strength and helps her to survive
despite all odds . . . I'm just able to bring mine to the surface."
I can't wait to get my paws on this book, this cover is definitely on my Pug love pile, the moody dark blue and claw marks on the back of the model's T-shirt gives the book a mysterious and dangerous feel.

The next book i came upon was The Mysterious Madam Morpho by Delilah. S. Dawson; this book is part of the Blud series and is a point 5 book.
Taking place after Wicked as They Come,
this original eBook features a mysterious lady and a reclusive
mechanical genius who find love and danger in a traveling circus. An
elusive woman arrives at Criminy’s doorstep with a steamer trunk,
begging for a position in the caravan to perform her unique new act. She
opens her trunk to reveal a menagerie of brilliantly colored
butterflies. The woman, who calls herself Madam Morpho, is on the run
from a dark past in London, where she was forced to leave her equipment
behind and abscond with only her tiny performers. Playing a hunch,
Criminy hires Madam Morpho on the spot. Taking her down to meet Mr.
Murdoch, the reclusive talented engineer who keeps the carnival’s
clockworks running, Criminy instructs them to work together to design
and build a groundbreaking new circus for the butterflies. Amid the
magical ambiance of the circus and the hint of danger from Madam
Morpho’s pursuers, she and Mr. Murdoch soon find that their scientific
collaboration has produced chemistry of a more romantic kind.
I love this cover with it bright blue butterflies and the cooper of the metal reflected in the eye of the model.

My next stumbled I upon book was
the first book for the Angel sight series by Lisa M Basso. I love how
bright and fiery this cover is, although it doesn't give much away in
terms of story it is definitely eye catching. The plot sound great too; A compelling and spirited
debut from Lisa M. Basso in which sixteen-year-old Rayna Evans has spent
the last three years locked away in a mental institution for seeing
angels. Intent on remaining free, she ignores signs that she may be
slipping into the world she has tried so hard to climb out of. But when
her hallucinations begin showing up at school, can Rayna keep her job,
her sanity and keep students from dying at the hand of angels she can’t
admit to seeing?
I cant wait to get my paws on this book. Click the link below to go to the author website :)

'What happens when The Firm
meets Anita Blake? You get the Halls of Power—our modern world, but
twisted. Law, finance, the military, and politics are under the sway of
long-lived vampires, werewolves, and the elven Alfar. Humans make the
best of rule by “the Spooks,” and contend among themselves to affiliate
with the powers-that-be, in order to avoid becoming their prey. Very
loyal humans are rewarded with power over other women and men. Very
lucky humans are selected to join the vampires, werewolves, and
elves—or, on occasion, to live at the Seelie Court. Linnet Ellery is the
offspring of an affluent Connecticut family dating back to Colonial
times. Fresh out of law school, she’s beginning her career in a powerful
New York “white fang” law firm. She has high hopes of eventually making
partner.
But strange things keep happening to her. In a workplace where some humans will eventually achieve immense power and centuries of extra lifespan, office politics can be vicious beyond belief. After some initial missteps, she finds herself sidelined and assigned to unpromising cases. Then, for no reason she can see, she becomes the target of repeated, apparently random violent attacks, escaping injury each time through increasingly improbable circumstances. However, there’s apparently more to Linnet Ellery than a little old-money human privilege. More than even she knows. And as she comes to understand this, she’s going to shake up the system like you wouldn’t believe…'

As far as my Pug investigating goes this book so far is a stand alone book.
I
love this cover with its moody blue sky and intimating model that give
this a gritty feel to the story and the blurs of bats against the city
lights hints of vampires at play. I cant wait to get my little paws on it!
