PUG REVIEW: MAGIC BITES BY ILONA ANDREWS

Magic Bites- Kate Daniels #1- Ilona Andrews
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1)                                            Blurb:

When the magic is up, rogue mages cast their spells and monsters appear, while guns refuse to fire and cars fail to start. But then technology returns, and the magic recedes as unpredictably as it arose, leaving all kinds of paranormal problems in its wake.

Kate Daniels is a down-on-her-luck mercenary who makes her living cleaning up these magical problems. But when Kate's guardian is murdered, her quest for justice draws her into a power struggle between two strong factions within Atlanta's magic circles.

The Masters of the Dead, necromancers who can control vampires, and the Pack, a paramilitary clan of shapechangers, blame each other for a series of bizarre killings—and the death of Kate's guardian may be part of the same mystery. Pressured by both sides to find the killer, Kate realizes she's way out of her league—but she wouldn't have it any other way…

Ginny ( The Pug's) Review: spoiler alert

Me and my owner picked this book by chance when we brought a stack of book, although this is not on my Pug favourites list it still was an enjoyable read.

This book is about the journey of revenge and closure taken by our main character Kate Daniels, whom loses a dear friend and family member at the start of the book.
We are taken on a fast pace journey which see us interacting with a bunch of very different characters that the audience will love and hate for the all right reasons.

Although this book is action packed I did find that halfway through the book it did get a little bogged down and complicated so be prepared to re- read sections now and again.

This book is a good read despite the sometimes overcomplicated and slow progress, bookworms who love magic, shape shifters and crime will enjoy this read.

Other books in the series:
Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2)Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3)Magic Bleeds (Kate Daniels, #4)Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5)

Hope you all enjoyed the review, see you next time :)
