PUG REVIEW: TRACKING THE TEMPEST BY NICOLE PEELER

TRACKING THE TEMPEST BY NICOLE PEELER: JANE TRUE #2

                                                    BLURB:
Tracking the Tempest begins four months–and one eyebrow sacrificed to magical training–after the close of Tempest Rising.
During that time, Jane’s been busy honing her supernatural powers and enjoying her newfound sense of confidence. Rockabill may not yet be heaven, but she’s realized it’s home. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and Ryu - Jane's bloodsucking boyfriend - can't let a major holiday go by without getting all gratuitous. An overwhelming dose of boyfriend interference and a last-minute ticket to Boston later, and Jane's life is thrown off course.
But Ryu’s best laid plans inevitably create more upheaval than even he can anticipate, and Jane winds up embroiled in an investigation involving a spree of gruesome killings committed by a being of tremendous power . . .

GINNY'S (THE PUG'S) REVIEW

Tracking the tempest is the second book in the Jane True series, this story takes place four months after the first book; Tempest rising.

This book has action, love and friendship but it did take a while for me and my human to get into the story as I did feel it drag a little bit in the middle while the investigating part was being played out.  Although it took a while to get involved in the story there were some huge revelations and changes to the main character Jane and more insight given to the character Anyan, which is my pug self favourite.
I look forward to finding out which way the author chooses to develop Jane further.

In content to the plot, I found the mystery to be heartfelt and interesting, I liked the way there was a big connection between the supposed villain and Jane’s nature. I also enjoy how just like in real life the characters don’t just throw off the death aspect presented in the book, but actually have different issues that develop due to it.

This book was a good solid read with a great in-depth mystery and great movement/ development of characters; although I have to say I didn’t find the writing to be as funny as I had in the previous book which is a shame as this is what I loved about the style chosen to describe Jane’s story in the first place.

OTHER BOOKS IN JANE TRUE:
Tempest Rising.
HOPE YOU ENJOY THE REVIEW, SEE YOU NEXT TIME
