GINNY'S (THE PUG'S) REVIEW.
Taken by dusk is C.C hunter 3rd book in the shadow falls series, this was a long awaited book for me and my human and it didn’t disappoint.

In the first couple of chapters the book was a slow burner with a focus on character development and relationship building although this part wasn’t as exciting as the second half of the book, this world building was essential for the characters to flesh out and become more lifelike. This part of the book brings in the love triangle the main character, Kylie, is made to face, this adds a touch of romance and softness to an edgy and sometimes spooky storyline.

Even though the first half of the book is a little slower than the second half, we are given the seeds of several mysteries in the first couple of chapters and from there on out they begin to grow and entice the reader deeper into the plot line and into the main character’s struggle, frustration and happiness each time a clue is discovered.
These mysteries are enthralling, they kept me and my human up late into the night wanting to find out the clue that would finally lead to the mysteries being solved, even though as the reader we are given many clues we don’t find out until the very end the shocking truth to both the mysteries presented. The ending to these mysteries left me and my human speechless, the author was very clever in how she ended this book, no reader will be disappointed by this surprising read.

Taken by dusk adds more flesh to the on-going storyline of what kylie really is and also ends the storyline from awake at dawn in a astonishing and shocking way, this book explains a lot but also leaves plenty of questions to be explored in the next book, WHISPERS AT MOONRISE.
THIS IS A MUST READ SERIES FOR EVERYONE!!
